    Farnham United Reformed Church

We would like to invite you to the launch of The Pilgrim Project in our church on:

    Friday 16 September 2016  10.00am to 4.00pm and 6.30pm to 8.30pm
    and
    Saturday 17 September 2016 10.00am to 1.00pm

Light Refreshments will be available at each session

These events will provide the opportunity for you to see and hear about the exciting plans we have for the redevelopment of our Church buildings and our increasingly popular Spire Café.

Farnham United Reformed Church, with its graceful spire, occupies a landmark position in our fine town. People have been worshipping in our beautiful building for the past 150 years. An enormous variety of people and community groups use the building on a daily basis.  However, we recognise that the building is no longer fit for purpose and needs to be brought up to 21st century standards.

The Pilgrim Project aims to provide much improved facilities for community use, from children’s activities to meeting room facilities through to large concerts in a flexible sanctuary space.  For example, we believe we may be able to compensate in part for the potential loss of the Gostrey Centre at the East end of the town.

This is a very exciting stage in the life of Farnham United Reformed Church, and our plans are ambitious, but we believe that the changes we will be outlining at the launch will equip our buildings for well into the future to serve the local community.  However, in order to achieve this we must raise approximately£1.5 million – a huge target for our congregation alone – so we are reaching out for grants from national and local bodies as well as seeking support from local businesses and benefactors.

We hope you will feel able to support us directly and warmly invite you to one of the launch sessions above in order to learn more about our plans.
